If Filipe Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dogueno booed when SC Barral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Bernardo Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Barral's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Sousa made a kick off. SC Barral's Paulo Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Araújo in the 55th minute of play. Artur Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Dogueno got a freekick which was hit by Artur Araújo. SC Barral's Paulo Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Araújo in the 64th minute of play. If Filipe Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, one of SC Barral:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Barral. Vasco Carneiro's late challenge caught a SC Barral's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Barral's Sérgio Costa got a free kick in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the match, SC Barral's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Macedo came free, but Paulo Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bernardo Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Barral fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Sousa couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Bernardo Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Coelho's late challenge caught a SC Barral's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
