Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bernardo Leite got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Sérgio Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Agrelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palma the free kick. Raul Moniz made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Nuno Miranda sent off a good shot on target. José Lopes's late challenge caught a SC Agrelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Agrelo booed when Palma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Pedroso's late challenge caught a SC Agrelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gil Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Palma's Gil Pedroso got a free kick in the 13th minute. Eduardo Carneiro scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Ferro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Manuel Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Palma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Lopes couldn't finish the play. Nuno Miranda succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Bernardo Leite took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Ferro. Rui Ferro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Palma's José Lopes pulled a muscle in his back after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Cândido Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Agrelo's protests and gave Cândido Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. Cândido Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. SC Agrelo's Raul Moniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Agrelo from getting a goal against them. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Miranda to make the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Eduardo Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Agrelo's Raul Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Miranda in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th play minute Eduardo Carneiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rui Ferro. 1-3. Eduardo Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Miranda took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Moniz. Raul Moniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Palma's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bernardo Leite 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4. Bernardo Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rui Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Palma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Vieira to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Bernardo Leite put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Rui Ferro. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Agrelo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
