José Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Dantas having to interfere. Joaquim Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Vaz in the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Cristiano Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mairos's goalkeeper Lúcio Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Lúcio Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Pinheiro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Dantas saved SC Alpedriz from getting behind. Lúcio Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rui Amaro charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Amaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Mairos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Amaro to maneuver through the defense. If Lúcio Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Joaquim Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alpedriz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lúcio Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the SC Alpedriz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Freitas couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Alpedriz getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Bernardo Pinto hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Tavares in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Dantas saved SC Alpedriz from getting behind. Joaquim Vaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Lúcio Baptista made a huge save. In the 71st match minute, Mairos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Tavares to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the game, Joaquim Vaz lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Lúcio Baptista. José Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Dantas having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Cristiano Pinheiro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Alpedriz's Cristiano Dantas. Cristiano Dantas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joaquim Vaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Lúcio Baptista made a huge save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
