Américo Leal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Artur Paredes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. A collision led to Venestal getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ricardo Barbosa hit a great ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Artur Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Fuseta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Anjos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Queirós's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. João Domingues charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Domingues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes SC Fuseta got a freekick which was hit by João Domingues. Adolfo Queirós struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. João Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venestal. A hard shot 36 in the game by Vítor Brás from a close distance when the talented Américo Leal managed to make a qualified save. Venestal's players were relieved. Adolfo Queiróss short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got João Anjos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 59th minute of the match, João Nunes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Anjos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. João Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Artur Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the SC Fuseta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Paredes couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Vítor Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Fuseta's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If João Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
