Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Afonso Rodrigues took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fernando Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Nunes in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Venestal's goalkeeper Américo Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Setúbal. Adolfo Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute João Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Afonso Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SC Povoenca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. André Setúbal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Américo Leal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Venestal's Américo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Rodrigues in the 27th minute of play. Paulo Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Américo Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Venestal's goalkeeper Américo Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Moniz. Ricardo Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. André Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Américo Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Adolfo Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Fernando Amaro made a huge save. After 59 minutes, Paulo Gueifão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Povoenca and the Venestal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes SC Povoenca got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Gueifão. Adolfo Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match, João Nunes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernando Amaro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Gaspar lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Venestal:s Américo Leal showed great skill when he stopped Joaquim Lopes:s penalty. Venestal's Américo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Setúbal in the 81st minute of play. Américo Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 91st minute, André Setúbal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Povoenca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Afonso Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venestal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Povoenca.
