After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Vítor Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Besoura's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Simões in the 12th minute of play. Cristiano Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bento Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Anjos in the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Palhava's Joaquim Simões got control of the ball when Vítor Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vítor Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After 54 minutes of play, Palhava's Augusto Freitas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bento Brás was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomás Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. The goalkeeper, Bento Brás, was totally fooled by Palhava's Jorge Cruz, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Palhava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Bento Brás managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Palhava's Tomás Faria fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Cristiano Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Brás having to interfere. Bento Brás stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Leão's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Vítor Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Simões having to interfere. In the 98th match minute, Palhava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Cristiano Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Simões having to interfere. The Palhava players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
