Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Emílio Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Carneiro in the 7th minute of play. Roda's David Morais got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Morais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Santarém read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, David Morais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luís Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Carneiro in the 24th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Barbito's Amadeu Carneiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Coimbra. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. Bruno Gueifão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Luís Coimbra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 37th minute Amadeu Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Coimbra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luís Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Coimbra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeu Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when David Morais made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, David Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roda's supporters rose to their feet, but David Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Santarém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vasco Lima hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Barbito! When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, Roda's João Antunes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Miguel Santarém. After having played for 70 minutes, Miguel Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 played minutes Roda got a freekick which was hit by Rui Trindade. Roda's Luís Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Carneiro in the 73rd minute of play. Bernardo Aleixo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Aleixo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bruno Gueifão scored 2-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Coimbra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, António Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Barbito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roda the free kick. António Nogueira hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, one of SC Barbito:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If David Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Barbito's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Coimbra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th match minute, SC Barbito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. The Roda players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
