Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Peroguarda's José Faro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Faro might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Paredes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Faro ran back to his position shaking his head. José Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Rui Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peroguarda's Alfredo Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If José Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Maiorga FC's Eusébio Guerreiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Cardoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Paulo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfredo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Neves struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Rui Paredes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peroguarda. José Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Moutinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Moutinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Manuel Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Moutinho in the 42nd minute of play. José Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Neves in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Moutinho to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Moutinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Cardoso. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. Paulo Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Moutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th play minute Paulo Macedo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Manuel Cardoso. 0-2. Rui Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Neves in the 75th minute of play. Peroguarda's Manuel Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Peroguarda from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Paulo Macedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Cardoso. Peroguarda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Macedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 85th match minute, Maiorga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. José Faro scored 1-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Paredes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alexandre Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Cardoso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Peroguarda's zone, Alexandre Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Cardoso came out of the goal and Alexandre Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peroguarda's Manuel Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Peroguarda from getting a goal against them.
