Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Miguel Rocha got the match started through his kick off. Rui Macedo succeeded in the game's 4th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, José Faro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Aveleiras's Catarino Leal. Catarino Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Catarino Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Rocha in the 12th minute of the match. SC Ifanes's Álvaro Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Castro in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ifanes's zone, Rafael Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Brito came out of the goal and Rafael Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Rocha during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes SC Ifanes got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Rocha. Rafael Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SC Ifanes booed when Aveleiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Aveleiras's zone, José Faro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Catarino Leal came out of the goal and José Faro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Catarino Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rafael Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Miguel Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the SC Ifanes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Rocha couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Aveleiras's goal looked a bit too open when José Faro came free, but Catarino Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Aveleiras's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Rocha came free, but Catarino Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Castro in the 48th minute of play forced SC Ifanes's goalkeeper Álvaro Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Castro to make the kick off. If Rafael Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Faro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Catarino Leal made a huge save. Gonçalo Dantas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Rafael Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Miguel Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Ifanes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Neves during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes SC Ifanes got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Neves. In the 77th minute, Rafael Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álvaro Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Rui Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aveleiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Catarino Leal made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when José Faro sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Rocha struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Catarino Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ifanes. After 93 played minutes Aveleiras got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Dias. Rafael Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Álvaro Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
