Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joaquim Viegas got the match started through his kick off. When Catarino Leal came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Barbacena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Leal couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute, Barbacena's Rogério Porto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rogério Porto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barbacena protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rogério Porto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tomás Cruz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armindo Garcia having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Xavier Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suimo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Aleixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastião Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Xavier Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Armindo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Aleixo in the 25th minute of play forced Barbacena's goalkeeper Armindo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Tomás Cruz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Barbacena's Armindo Garcia. Armindo Garcia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barbacena's Armindo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Cruz in the 35th minute of play. Catarino Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Moura hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xavier Aleixo to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Suimo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Leite came free, but Albertino Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Armindo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Albertino Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertino Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Armindo Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suimo FC. If Tomás Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Armindo Garcia made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Catarino Leal notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Suimo FC's Albertino Melo. Albertino Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barbacena's Armindo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Aleixo in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Suimo FC booed when Barbacena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had been going on for 89 minutes, Suimo FC's António Trindade got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Armindo Garcia. In the 93rd match minute, Barbacena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Matos to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Suimo FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
