Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tomás Pinheiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Augusto Morais struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Oliveira Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gontilhe. In the 12th minute, Inácio Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliveira Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Nascimento in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Gontilhe were awarded a corner. Paulo Ribeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. Paulo Ribeiro made a great header on Gontilhe's corner, it was just that Malpica FC's Oliveira Moura managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Tomás Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malpica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavier Cruz's late challenge caught a Malpica FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xavier Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gontilhe getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Xavier Cruz hit a great ball. If Américo Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Malpica FC's Inácio Moreira got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Paulo Ribeiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Gontilhe's Alexandre Oliveira got control of the ball when Américo Pinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Américo Pinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Américo Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Malpica FC's Tomás Pinheiro in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gontilhe's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gontilhe's Delfim Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oliveira Moura. That made the score 0-1 after 61 minutes of play. Tomás Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alexandre Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Augusto Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gontilhe's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliveira Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Delfim Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oliveira Moura was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. If Delfim Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Oliveira having to interfere. Oliveira Moura stood somewhat misplaced when Delfim Nascimento came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 90 minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gontilhe's goalkeeper Alexandre Oliveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gontilhe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
