Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when António Simões got the match started through his kick off. If Inácio Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melres's Afonso Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Simões in the 6th minute of play. Jorge Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Pinto having to interfere. Afonso Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. SC Obrais's António Simões managed to work through Melres's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. António Simões dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. António Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes SC Obrais got a freekick which was hit by Mário Domingues. SC Obrais's Nuno Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Trindade in the 41st minute of play. When António Simões came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the SC Obrais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Simões couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Inácio Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Trindade was the one to do the kick off. António Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Afonso Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Obrais's António Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Melres's zone, António Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Cunha came out of the goal and António Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute António Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Cunha came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Obrais's Inácio Fernandes. But to his dismay, Inácio Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Melres getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Cândido Correia hit a great ball. António Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Bernardo Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardo Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. António Simões was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Bernardo Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Pinto having to interfere. Bernardo Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. SC Obrais's Nuno Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Ferreira in the 93rd minute of play. SC Obrais played a much better game than Melres and deserved their victory. The Melres players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
