Delfim Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Figueiredo having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Delfim Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Figueiredo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Humberto Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Guarda in the 25th minute of play. Diamantino Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Mourelos booed when Pombeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Joel Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Paulo Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pombeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mourelos the free kick. Delfim Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Humberto Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno Guarda went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Joel Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Eduardo Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Mourelos's Abel Rodrigues got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Abel Rodrigues off the ground. João Henriques's late challenge caught a Pombeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee gave Miguel Machado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 91 played minutes SC Mourelos got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Machado. When Nuno Guarda came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Pombeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Guarda couldn't finish the play. Pombeira's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
