Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diogo Cardoso started the match with the kick off. Francisco Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Júlio Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diogo Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Fontes having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Vales's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Amorim came free, but José Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cos booed when Vales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 15 in the game by Francisco Lopes from a close distance when the talented Júlio Fontes managed to make a qualified save. Cos's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Francisco Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vales's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vales's Francisco Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Inácio Amorim elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. José Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Ribeiro in the 29th minute of play. André Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. José Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. André Ribeiro took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Paiva. José Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If André Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cos's Júlio Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Lopes in the 54th minute of play. Diogo Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Fontes having to interfere. If Francisco Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cos's Inácio Amorim in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vales's goalie prevented a goal. When Francisco Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Vales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Lopes couldn't finish the play. Diogo Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Lopes in the 77th minute of play. André Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Cos booed when Vales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vales's zone, Inácio Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paiva came out of the goal and Inácio Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Paiva had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Inácio Amorim from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. José Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Inácio Amorim kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Paiva. That made the score 1-3 in the 88 minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Cos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Moniz to maneuver through the defense. Cos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
