In the 5thth minute of the game Sandro Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metal FC's José Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, David Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lourenço Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Tomás Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonçalo Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Alves having to interfere. Sandro Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Monteiro during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sandro Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, SC Malcata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. David Vaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play.
