The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Catarino Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Simões in the 20th minute of the match. Bernardo Amarals short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Catarino Porto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bernardo Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Monteiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Catarino Porto. Senhora FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Senhora FC's zone, Nuno Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Catarino Porto came out of the goal and Nuno Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Silvalde FC booed when Senhora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Simões in the 36th minute of play forced Senhora FC's goalkeeper Catarino Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvalde FC's Rui Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Oliveira in the 47th minute of play.
