The crowd rose to their feet as Gil Moreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Henriques. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Joaquim Delgado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joel Henriques, 2-0. Luís Mendes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Miranda went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Moreira in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Henriques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Assenta's Alfredo Domingues got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute, Alfredo Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Rilvas FC's Armindo Amaro tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Alexandre Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Joaquim Delgado could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Joel Henriques however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Delgado got free with Joel Henriques in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delfim Moutinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joel Henriques came out and tried to block the shot, but Delfim Moutinho slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 42nd minute. If Rafael Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil Moreira made a kick off. Joel Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Gil Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Joel Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Gomes's late challenge caught a Rilvas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. Alexandre Gomes hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Delgado in the 62nd minute of play forced Assenta's goalkeeper Joel Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Amadeu Trindade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rilvas FC's Luís Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amadeu Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Gabriel Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute of the match Armindo Amaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Henriques showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 77th minute, Joaquim Delgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Trindade in the 82nd minute of play forced Rilvas FC's goalkeeper Luís Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Moreira succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. Joaquim Delgado struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Joel Henriques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rilvas FC. If Gil Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
