With a left leg Hugo Reis saved SC Arroios from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, SC Arroios's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Correia came free, but Hugo Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Maia having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Moreira during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Filipe Maia, was totally fooled by SC Arroios's Diogo Soares, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Hugo Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Correia in the 36th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Arroios's José Castro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filipe Maia. That made the score 3-1 after 39 minutes of play. In the 43rd minute Paulo Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes, Paulo Neves made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. SC Arroios's Hugo Reis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Castro to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Neves got free with Hugo Reis in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Hugo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Ricardo Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. Calvino FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Arroios had won after a very even match.
