SC Arroios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anhoes the free kick. After taking down the ball on SC Arroios's corner Diogo Soares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alexandre Amaral quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, SC Arroios's Diogo Soares got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alexandre Amaral. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Vaz to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Barbosa couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Anhoes's Mário Vaz got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 73 minutes of play, SC Arroios's Tomás Santos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Santos in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Basílio Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, SC Arroios's Tomás Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandre Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Santos in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Arroios's zone, Mário Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Reis came out of the goal and Mário Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the game, Anhoes's Basílio Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Pereira during the 99th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustavo Pereira hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Arroios had won after a very even match.
