Paulo Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Adolfo Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Peroliva FC defense, Amílcar Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Soares. The Peroliva FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Soares should have stopped the shot. Amílcar Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Soares having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Assunção got free with Vítor Vieira in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Cabral in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Soares saved Peroliva FC from getting behind. Adolfo Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Paredes in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Joaquim Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Pacos's Vítor Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save SC Pacos from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Cabral in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Soares saved Peroliva FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Peroliva FC's Afonso Santarém got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Inácio Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When José Assunção came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Peroliva FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Assunção couldn't finish the play. The Peroliva FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Pacos were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. If Joaquim Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Peroliva FC's zone, Amílcar Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Soares came out of the goal and Amílcar Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Amílcar Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Soares was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Joaquim Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peroliva FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Andrade in the 69th minute of the match. Álvaro Reis hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, João Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sandro Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pacos's protests and gave Sandro Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Pacos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! 0-2 became the score in the 79th minute when Amílcar Paredes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to SC Pacos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gonçalo Santarém hit a great ball. José Assunção struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Vítor Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peroliva FC. Álvaro Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Peroliva FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Afonso Santarém in the 89th minute. At last the ball reached Afonso Santarém at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SC Pacos. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílcar Paredes got free with Adolfo Soares in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Peroliva FC's Adolfo Soares got control of the ball when Amílcar Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Pacos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
