The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Morais hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Mariano Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Trutas's protests and gave Mariano Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Campolide booed when SC Trutas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute Henrique Brito ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Afonso Paredes. 1-0. When Cândido Viegas fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Trutas's protests and gave Cândido Viegas a yellow card for diving instead. Cândido Viegas hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Francisco Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, SC Trutas's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Nunes came free, but Afonso Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Andrade having to interfere. SC Trutas's Afonso Paredes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save SC Trutas from getting a goal against them. During the 28th minute of the match Cândido Viegas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cândido Viegas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Cândido Viegas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. If Domingos Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. André Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Faro in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Fábio Nunes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afonso Paredes. The goal made the score 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingos Faro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Leiria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th match minute, SC Trutas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Paredes to maneuver through the defense. In the 61stth minute of the game Francisco Leiria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Trutas's Afonso Paredes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fábio Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Afonso Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Domingos Faro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Francisco Leiria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Leiria in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Trutas's goalkeeper Afonso Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Paredes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Fábio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Campolide's André Andrade got control of the ball when Domingos Faro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, SC Trutas's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Nunes came free, but Afonso Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Campolide's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
