Emílio Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ferro in the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Paulo Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Paulo Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Routar's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Miguel Ferro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Castro was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. If Paulo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Biscoutos's zone, Miguel Ferro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Castro came out of the goal and Miguel Ferro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélder Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Miguel Ferro might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emílio Castro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Ferro ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Emílio Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Routar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Ferro couldn't finish the play. Emílio Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Carneiro in the 55th minute of play. Emílio Castro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Ferro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 57 minute of play.
