Eusébio Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Carvalhelhos getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. The referee gave SC Bugalho a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. Miguel Amorim came out of the goal and Heitor Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viriato Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Ferreira having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Nuno Maia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusébio Ferreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. When António Guarda fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Bugalho's protests and gave António Guarda a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Viriato Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carvalhelhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Viriato Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bento Viana hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SC Bugalho's Delfim Pedroso got a free kick in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heitor Amaral got free with Miguel Amorim in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vasco Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Amorim having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Bugalho's Heitor Amaral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Miguel Amorim. That made the score 1-2 after 80 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Nuno Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carvalhelhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Carlos Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, one of Carvalhelhos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Carvalhelhos:s Miguel Amorim showed great skill when he stopped Viriato Monteiro:s penalty. In the 95th play minute Heitor Amaral came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Miguel Amorim. 1-3. Eusébio Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Bugalho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
