Mancalva FC's António Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Mancalva FC from getting a goal against them. Abel Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Oliveira Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mancalva FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Albertino Brito in the 32nd minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Oliveira Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mancalva FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliveira Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Mancalva FC's David Veiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Valente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Abel Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Cruz in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Veiga was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Abel Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If David Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sacoes's Joaquim Carvalho got a free kick in the 64th minute. Oliveira Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Rodrigo Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oliveira Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute David Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Joaquim Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sacoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mancalva FC the free kick. Joaquim Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Oliveira Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Valente having to interfere. If David Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mancalva FC's zone, Rodrigo Pacheco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Figueiredo came out of the goal and Rodrigo Pacheco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Sandro Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Mancalva FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sacoes.
