Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Ferreira started the match with the kick off. Daniel Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lajes's David Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Eusébio Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajes's Daniel Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Vale in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Patroves's Álvaro Andrade got a free kick in the 9th minute. Nuno Dias's late challenge caught a Patroves's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Dias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Nuno Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the game, Pedro Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Daniel Abreu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Emílio Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patroves's protests and gave Emílio Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Patroves got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Abreu. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when David Miranda sped through Patroves's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eusébio Campos. Pedro Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Daniel Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Vale in the 27th minute of play. Patroves's Eusébio Campos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Patroves from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the game, Alexandre Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patroves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lajes the free kick. Alexandre Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Paulo Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eusébio Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajes's David Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Eusébio Campos managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Lajes's Paulo Ferreira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, David Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lajes's supporters rose to their feet, but David Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Campos having to interfere. Paulo Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Lajes's goalkeeper Daniel Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Vale. Paulo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Campos having to interfere. Humberto Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Daniel Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Abreu having to interfere. Luís Lisboa charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Lisboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luís Lisboa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Pedro Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Daniel Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patroves. Daniel Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Vale in the 78th minute. Humberto Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Daniel Abreu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Abreu in the 83rd minute of play forced Lajes's goalkeeper Daniel Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Paulo Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusébio Campos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Pedro Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lajes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
