In the 14th minute, Cristiano Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Catarino Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Monteiro having to interfere. Regedoura FC's Vítor Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Barros in the 20th minute of play. When Cristiano Barros came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the SC Serroa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Barros couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Sá got free with Filipe Freitas in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Regedoura FC's Vítor Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Cruz in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Serroa's Filipe Freitas got control of the ball when Afonso Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match Regedoura FC got a corner. SC Serroa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexandre Aguiar ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Regedoura FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Serroa were winning 0-1.
Cristiano Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Sá struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Filipe Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regedoura FC. Filipe Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Rodrigues in the 58th minute of the match. Cristiano Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vítor Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Jaime Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Pereira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Regedoura FC's Jorge Reis got a free kick in the 86th minute. Vítor Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Catarino Cruz in the 90th minute. If Catarino Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
