Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Maia to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Rodrigues got free with João Dantas in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 57 played minutes, SC Montazel's Hugo Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bento Sá came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Montazel reached it. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Montazel's goalkeeper João Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Magarao defense, Diamantino Veiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bento Sá. The Magarao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bento Sá should have stopped the shot. Bruno Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Magarao booed when SC Montazel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fernando Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Dantas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Veiga in the 89th minute of play forced Magarao's goalkeeper Bento Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Óscar Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Dantas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, SC Montazel's Diamantino Veiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bento Sá made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.
