Mário Sá was a little too slow when Eduardo Henriques got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Tamengos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Eduardo Henriques scored to the left of an out of position Mário Sá, making the score, 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Tamengos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Machede FC:s goal. In the 32nd minute, Daniel Sá made a precise shot to the right of Mário Sá. Tamengos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 39 minutes into the game, Ricardo Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Machede FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tamengos the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Henriques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Machede FC's Henrique Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eduardo Henriques, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 61 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mário Sá was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Júlio Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Tamengos fans jumped to their feet. Machede FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
