Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gil Miranda got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Paulo Resende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Gandra getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Inácio Miranda hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gandra's zone, Gil Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Almeida came out of the goal and Gil Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastião Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Viana having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Sebastião Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cristiano Reis fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gandra's protests and gave Cristiano Reis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, one of Gandra:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gandra. Artur Almeida had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Filipe Maia's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Cláudio Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Foz's protests and gave Cláudio Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gandra booed when SC Foz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sebastião Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Sebastião Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Gandra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Pinho couldn't finish the play. SC Foz's Oliveira Viana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Foz from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SC Foz booed when Gandra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gil Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gandra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Foz were winning 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Moura to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Gil Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Oliveira Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Gil Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Branco during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Foz getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Delfim Branco hit a great ball. Pedro Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Oliveira Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Resendes short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Artur Almeida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Artur Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Miranda in the 66th minute of the match. Filipe Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Pedro Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Oliveira Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Miranda in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Gil Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Foz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, SC Foz's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Pinho came free, but Oliveira Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Viana having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Pedro Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gandra's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliveira Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of SC Foz echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Gandra had held the ball for most of the match.
