Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lanceiros FC's Emanuel Branco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Mário Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lanceiros FC's Pedro Santarém was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Cavalo FC's Abel Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Santarém narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Lanceiros FC's Pedro Santarém got control of the ball when Abel Ferreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 10 played minutes Lanceiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Leal. If Abel Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lanceiros FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rui Leal hit a great ball. Ricardo Araújo, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Vítor Matos hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Cavalo FC's goal looked a bit too open when António Morais came free, but Daniel Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Branco in the 27th minute of play forced Cavalo FC's goalkeeper Daniel Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Pedro Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Emanuel Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanceiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If António Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Branco in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Ribeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Amaral in the 37th minute of the match. Lanceiros FC's Pedro Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Amaral in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Branco in the 45th minute of play forced Cavalo FC's goalkeeper Daniel Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes of play Lanceiros FC's Vítor Matos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 47 played minutes Lanceiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Matos. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mário Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cavalo FC's Abel Ferreira suffered a concussion in the 51st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Barros during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucas Barros hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes, Cavalo FC's Ricardo Araújo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Santarém came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cavalo FC reached it. Mário Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Santarém having to make a save. Daniel Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when António Morais sent off a good shot on target. The Lanceiros FC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Lanceiros FC's António Morais looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. António Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Amaral in the 76th minute of play forced Lanceiros FC's goalkeeper Pedro Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Lanceiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Amaral came free, but Pedro Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mário Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by António Morais in the 91st minute. After 93 minutes, André Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavalo FC and the Lanceiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Cavalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Santarém stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Amaral's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
