Delfim Silva's late challenge caught a Cavalo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Araújo, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mário Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Alves having to interfere. Delfim Silva hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Abel Ferreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cromil FC's Manuel Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Cavalo FC's goalkeeper Daniel Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Dantas. Eduardo Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Simão Dantas struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Daniel Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cromil FC. Eduardo Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Simão Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Daniel Ribeiro made a huge save. Cláudio Assis charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cláudio Assis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cláudio Assis hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Gaspar Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Ricardo Araújo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Alves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Abel Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Manuel Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Daniel Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Abel Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Manuel Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Amaral in the 60th minute of play forced Cromil FC's goalkeeper Manuel Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, Cromil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Correia to maneuver through the defense. If Mário Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Simão Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cromil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Abel Ferreira put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Alves. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Amaral in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Alves saved Cromil FC from getting behind. Cristóvão Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The match ended with a win for Cavalo FC.
