Carlos Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Vieira in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emílio Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Vieira in the 12th minute of the match. After 15 minutes, Fernando Mendes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vinhas and the Cabecinhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernando Mendes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. André Moutinho struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Delfim Viegas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabecinhos. Vinhas's Delfim Viegas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Vinhas from getting a goal against them. Augusto Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Emílio Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, André Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabecinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Moutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes in the game, Afonso Pinto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Delfim Viegas having to interfere. Delfim Viegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Moutinho in the 34th minute. Delfim Viegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Moutinho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Delfim Viegas firmly grabbed it by the left post. A nice corner shot did that Alexandre Torres got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Delfim Viegas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Pinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Vinhas booed when Cabecinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Afonso Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Moutinho in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Vinhas getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Fernando Mendes hit a great ball. Emílio Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Vieira in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute Vinhas were awarded a corner. Júlio Porto went to the cornerflag to take it. Óscar Vieira thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Emílio Aguiar, a very annoying self made goal in the 69th minute which led to 0-1. In the 74thth minute of the game Afonso Pinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vinhas's Delfim Viegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Cabecinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Vieira came free, but Emílio Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Augusto Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Leiria struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Vinhas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
