Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Simão Resende took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes SC Cuvelinhas got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Viegas. In the 12th minute of the match Henrique Setúbal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Santos skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Resende in the 15th minute of play forced Arnosa's goalkeeper Humberto Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Resende in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Santos saved Arnosa from getting behind. After some careless play in the Arnosa defense, Simão Resende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Santos. The Arnosa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Santos should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Arnosa's zone, Simão Resende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Santos came out of the goal and Simão Resende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Antunes in the 25th minute of play forced Arnosa's goalkeeper Humberto Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, SC Cuvelinhas's goalkeeper Carlos Maia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Pinheiro. Simão Resende scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Humberto Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Simão Resende had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Santos. Arnosa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão Resende was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Paulo Gueifão hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonçalo Nogueira to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Paulo Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cuvelinhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Gueifão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonçalo Coimbra hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gustavo Antunes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Humberto Santos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gustavo Antunes struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Humberto Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cuvelinhas. Carlos Maia came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Arnosa's Rui Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Rui Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Carlos Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Rui Pinheiro spun around in front of the goal 79 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SC Cuvelinhas's goal. Simão Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Santos having to interfere. When Gustavo Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SC Cuvelinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Antunes couldn't finish the play. Arnosa's Humberto Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Resende in the 89th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Rui Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Cuvelinhas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
