Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amílcar Castro started the match with the kick off. Inácio Fernandes hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Gonçalo Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Gomes hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, one of Ervosa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ervosa. When Manuel Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ervosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Coelho couldn't finish the play. Mário Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Gonçalo Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Mário Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Corteses defense, Manuel Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mário Guarda. The Corteses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mário Guarda should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Amílcar Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Cristiano Magalhães managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Corteses's Afonso Delgado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
