Santins FC's Vasco Amaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Santins FC from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the game, Joel Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santins FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Regedoura the free kick. After a rather tough play, Santins FC's Joel Rocha got a free kick in the 15th minute. Filipe Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Vasco Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vítor Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Regedoura's protests and gave Vítor Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. Vítor Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heitor Miranda during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Santins FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Heitor Miranda hit a great ball. Jaime Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vasco Amaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. Santins FC's Joaquim Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albertino Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Anjos in the 47th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Anjos in the 47th minute of play forced Regedoura's goalkeeper Albertino Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Filipe Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jaime Machado came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Regedoura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Machado couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Regedoura's protests and gave Miguel Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jaime Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Amaro having to interfere.
