Nuno Pinto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vasco Amaro. Santins FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joaquim Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastião Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Santins FC's Joaquim Almeida broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 25 minutes into the match, Santins FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Amaro came free, but Vasco Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Cristóvão Anjos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes, Joel Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santins FC and the Pombais players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastião Branco made a kick off. Cristóvão Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bruno Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Abel Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pombais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santins FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pombais's Abel Magalhães got a free kick in the 59th minute. Pombais's Bruno Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Maia in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heitor Miranda during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Heitor Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santins FC's Joaquim Maia got a free kick in the 65th minute. Raul Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Santins FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pombais eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
