To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 minutes, Ricardo Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Machio and the Vouzela FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricardo Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Carlos Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Sá having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Jorge Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vouzela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21stth minute of the game Ricardo Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vouzela FC's Daniel Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Vouzela FC booed when Machio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Moura in the 76th minute of play forced Vouzela FC's goalkeeper Daniel Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
