Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Domingues during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes Ariero got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Domingues. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ariero's goalkeeper Fábio Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. André Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Óscar Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferro's goalkeeper Jacinto Viegas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Eusébio Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ariero the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ferro's Eusébio Viana got a free kick in the 19th minute. Lucas Macedo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If André Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes, Alfredo Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariero and the Ferro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ferro booed when Ariero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Emanuel Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferro's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Óscar Gaspar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. During the 33rd minute of the match André Aleixo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave André Aleixo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 33rd minute, André Aleixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Óscar Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Viegas having to interfere. Fábio Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Viana in the 46th minute of play forced Ariero's goalkeeper Fábio Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Ferro's Emanuel Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half Ferro were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Óscar Gaspar made a kick off. Cristiano Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Viegas having to interfere. When Óscar Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ferro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Óscar Gaspar couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Óscar Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Gaspar in the 69th minute of the match. The supporters of Ferro booed when Ariero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armindo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jacinto Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Pinheiro in the 82nd minute of play. Ariero's Cristiano Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristiano Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ariero's zone, Emanuel Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Fonseca came out of the goal and Emanuel Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
