Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Óscar Gaspar took the kick off in the first half of the match. Óscar Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emanuel Faria succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. Cristiano Guarda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jacinto Viegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastião Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Óscar Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 19th minute, Emanuel Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Moura in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Ricardo Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacinto Viegas. Ferro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 30 played minutes Machio got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Gomes. In the 31st minute, Ferro's Emanuel Faria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. A collision led to Ferro getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Manuel Santarém hit a great ball. Ferro's Jacinto Viegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Gomes in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute André Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ferro booed when Machio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Emanuel Faria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Armindo Amorim's late challenge caught a Machio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armindo Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, one of Ferro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ferro. Ferro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Machio for a fine match.
