Meirinho FC's Rui Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Figueiredo in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Meirinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Sá came free, but Rui Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarrasteira's Paulo Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Tarrasteira from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Tarrasteira's David Figueiredo got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Rui Amaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarrasteira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meirinho FC the free kick. A collision led to Tarrasteira getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rui Amaro hit a great ball. Humberto Leal didn't quite understand what happened when in the 12 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 15th minute, Humberto Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Abreu in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarrasteira's goalkeeper Paulo Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diamantino Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Dantas having to interfere. Meirinho FC's Diamantino Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Figueiredo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Paulo Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Abreu in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Joaquim Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardo Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Meirinho FC's Diamantino Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Sá might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Sá ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joaquim Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute of the match, David Figueiredo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rui Torres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Paulo Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
