Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adolfo Mota started the match with the kick off. Raul Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 11 minutes, Adolfo Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Castelhana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that David Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Carneiro was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. If Pedro Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes SC Castelhana got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Mota. In the 24th minute, Rogério Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diamantino Sousa hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Basílio Cabral, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 35 played minutes SC Cancela got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Sousa. In the 36th minute of the match Basílio Cabral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raul Carneiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 37 played minutes SC Castelhana got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Lima. In the 38th minute José Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Pedro Vieira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gil Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Raul Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, SC Castelhana's Adolfo Mota ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raul Carneiro. Raul Carneiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 82 minutes into the match, SC Castelhana's Adolfo Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SC Castelhana's zone, José Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Andrade came out of the goal and José Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Jaime Moutinho notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of SC Castelhana's Gil Andrade. Gil Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SC Cancela were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Castelhana for a fine match.
