Nuno Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Machado having to interfere. Cristiano Machado made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Nuno Leal sent off a good shot on target. Luís Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eduardo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Pedrinha's Eduardo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Coelho in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Luís Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velosa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Silva struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Eduardo Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velosa FC. If Luís Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Coelho in the 28th minute of play forced SC Pedrinha's goalkeeper Eduardo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Tavares in the 32nd minute of play. If Nuno Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. SC Pedrinha's Nuno Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armindo Lisboa hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velosa FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vasco Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Velosa FC's zone, Nuno Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Machado came out of the goal and Nuno Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Coelho could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Eduardo Cardoso however easily saved by the left post. Eduardo Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Silva in the 67th minute of play. Luís Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Eduardo Cardoso made a huge save. David Nunes hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When Heitor Simões fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pedrinha's protests and gave Heitor Simões a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Pedrinha getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Heitor Simões hit a great ball. Eduardo Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
