Eusébio Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusébio Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Velosa FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Eusébio Rocha hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Vítor Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Alexandre Mota put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cristiano Machado. Luís Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Leal having to interfere. Pirraca FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Luís Silva scored to the left of an out of position Rodrigo Leal, making the score, 2-1. Luís Coelho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Rodrigo Leal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cristiano Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Amaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Miguel Brás was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velosa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirraca FC the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Velosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Brás to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th match minute, Velosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Esteves to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Coelho got free with Rodrigo Leal in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Velosa FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 47 minutes into the game, Velosa FC's Luís Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Silva was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Luís Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Velosa FC's Luís Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Leal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, Pirraca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Valente to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Jorge Moniz notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Pirraca FC's Rodrigo Leal. Rodrigo Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 68 played minutes Velosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Sá. Rafael Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Machado having to interfere. Rafael Amaro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Cristiano Machado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rafael Amaros short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Cristiano Machado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rodrigo Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Silva in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Silva in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Velosa FC's Luís Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alexandre Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Alexandre Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pirraca FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
