The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Filipe Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Repolha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 8th minute Inácio Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Cunha having to interfere. Miguel Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Rogério Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Leão hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Emílio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Inácio Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coina's Eduardo Moniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Coina's Nuno Coelho got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Filipe Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eduardo Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Repolha's goalkeeper Miguel Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Brás. If Filipe Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Repolha's zone, Emílio Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Cunha came out of the goal and Emílio Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emílio Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Cunha having to make a save. Repolha's Miguel Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Baptista in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emílio Baptista to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Emílio Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Cunha. Repolha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Inácio Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Emílio Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coina's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diogo Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Cunha having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Reis in the 81st minute of play forced Coina's goalkeeper Eduardo Moniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Repolha's Inácio Reis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 87th minute Emílio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Filipe Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
