Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gustavo Pires made the kick off and thus started the match. Alberto Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Manuel Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Marques took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Pedroso. Nuno Pedroso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, Grou's Manuel Vaz got control of the ball when Alberto Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Nuno Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grou's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Afonso Mota scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Vaz, making the score, 1-1. Manuel Vaz was a little too slow when João Delgado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Mota got free with Manuel Vaz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mariano Marques came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Grou fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Marques couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute Mariano Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Afonso Mota made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SC Faradouro booed when Grou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Amaral hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Gustavo Pires dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nuno Pedroso, 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in SC Faradouro's zone, Gustavo Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Pedroso came out of the goal and Gustavo Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Pedroso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After 75 minutes of play, Grou's Gustavo Pires made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Pedroso was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Cruz in the 78th minute of play forced Grou's goalkeeper Manuel Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Faradouro's Nuno Pedroso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save SC Faradouro from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute of the match Emílio Pinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Vaz skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Afonso Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Faradouro's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Gomes during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Grou got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Gomes. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grou fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Grou's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
