The supporters of Lampreia FC booed when Fernandilho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th match minute, Fernandilho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Simões to maneuver through the defense. André Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Catarino Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavier Luz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. André Henriques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Rodrigues went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sandro Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Fernandilho FC's protests and gave Henrique Maia a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Fernandilho FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lampreia FC:s goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Catarino Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fernandilho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Lopes in the 88th minute of play forced Fernandilho FC's goalkeeper Paulo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lampreia FC's zone, Catarino Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Henriques came out of the goal and Catarino Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. André Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Fernandilho FC's Catarino Ramos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The Lampreia FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fernandilho FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Fernandilho FC.
