After a defensive mix-up in Lampreia FC's zone, Cristiano Matias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Henriques came out of the goal and Cristiano Matias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Matias in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Henriques saved Lampreia FC from getting behind. Xavier Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Óscar Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Lopes in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lampreia FC defense, Mariano Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Henriques. The Lampreia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Henriques should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Martins in the 18th minute of play forced Lampreia FC's goalkeeper André Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lampreia FC's goalkeeper André Henriques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Catarino Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lampreia FC's protests and gave Catarino Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Lampreia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Cláudio Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lampreia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Cláudio Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, SC Mocarria's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Lopes came free, but Óscar Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandro Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristiano Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Cristiano Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mocarria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Matias struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. André Henriques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mocarria. In the 82nd minute, Lampreia FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristiano Matias fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 89th minute Cristiano Matias suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 89 minutes into the game, Joaquim Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lampreia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mocarria the free kick. Joaquim Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
