Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Fernandilho FC's Catarino Ramos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vasco Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Vasco Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Ramos in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Fernandilho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Reis to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Nunes got free with Paulo Garcia in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Fernandilho FC's zone, Amílcar Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Garcia came out of the goal and Amílcar Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Rodrigues took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasco Mota. Vasco Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jorge Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Paulo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Vasco Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, Catarino Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fernandilho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Vasco Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fernandilho FC. 29 minutes into the match, Fernandilho FC's Catarino Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vasco Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Catarino Ramos took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasco Mota. Vasco Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Paulo Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Machado in the 44th minute of the match. Artur Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Garcia having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amílcar Machado was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Santrilha's Alberto Bessa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Fernandilho FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Catarino Ramos hit a great ball. Alexandre Rodrigues who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Vasco Mota when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 63rd match minute, Fernandilho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Reis to maneuver through the defense. Artur Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Paulo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasco Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Rodrigues in the 67th minute. Catarino Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílcar Machado struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Paulo Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santrilha. The referee ignored Santrilha's protests and gave Sebastião Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. Fernandilho FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
