Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Guardizela FC's Diogo Assunção started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guardizela FC's Joaquim Cardoso took a good shot, in the 10th minute, which hit the crossbar above Humberto Moniz's head, and flew over the goal. Cabecos FC's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Guardizela FC. Vasco Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Abreu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Faro's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Abel Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Moniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Mário Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabecos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vasco Costa succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. When Pedro Marques fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guardizela FC's protests and gave Pedro Marques a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cabecos FC booed when Guardizela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Assunção in the 41st minute of play forced Cabecos FC's goalkeeper Humberto Moniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Guardizela FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Marques. In the 44th minute Mário Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Cabecos FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Leão. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Faro made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Guardizela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Costa came free, but Cláudio Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Cabecos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Assunção came free, but Humberto Moniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Abel Araújo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Humberto Moniz. In the 58th minute Diogo Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Américo Matias from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Humberto Moniz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cláudio Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Araújo scored 2-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Humberto Moniz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 79 minutes Cabecos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joaquim Cardoso who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Vasco Teixeira managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Humberto Moniz made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Abel Araújo sent off a good shot on target. Humberto Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Assunção in the 84th minute of the match.
