Manuel Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Queirós in the 3rd minute of the match. If Ricardo Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Faro in the 11th minute. If Afonso Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Baptista in the 18th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Rochoso:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Durraes:s goal. If Afonso Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Manuel Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rochoso's zone, Sérgio Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Veiga came out of the goal and Sérgio Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fábio Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Rodrigues in the 39th minute of play. Afonso Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Vale having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Rochoso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Manuel Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sérgio Queirós made a kick off. Manuel Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Queirós in the 56th minute of play. When Sérgio Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the SC Durraes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Queirós couldn't finish the play. Rochoso's Manuel Veiga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Rochoso from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Rochoso's Manuel Veiga got control of the ball when Joaquim Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fábio Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joaquim Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Lopes during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sérgio Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 96 minutes into the match, Joaquim Baptista notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rochoso's Manuel Veiga. Manuel Veiga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Durraes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
